How to use the Napoleon Cast Iron Skillet:
Wash and dry the skillet before using it for the first time. Next, apply a thin coat of vegetable oil or fat to the skillet and place it in the preheated a 180 °C oven or barbecue for an hour. Once the skillet has cooled it is ready to use. Repeat this process from time to time to create a nonstick surface and maintain the life of your skillet. This process also protects the skillet against corrosion. Therefore, the cast iron skillet should not be scrubbed or cleaned in the dishwasher.
